Vernon schools plan registration

VERNON — The Vernon Township School District provides a quality preschool program using Tools of the Mind, a NJ Department of Education approved developmentally appropriate curriculum, for children with and without disabilities. This curriculum infuses theme-based teaching that is aligned with NJ Student Learning Standards. Preschool is offered five days a week during a morning or afternoon session. Vernon residents may enroll children in preschool upon their third birthday. Children must be fully toilet trained to start the program.
The tuition cost is $3,000 a year, payable in 10-month increments of $300 per month. A $50. deposit is required at registration to hold your child’s seat in the program.
Children will be placed in am/pm sections based on first-come, first-served. If the number of registrations exceeds the number of openings, a waiting list will be developed.
Kindergarten Registration for the 2018-2019 school yearChildren who will be five years old on or before Oct. 1, 2018, are eligible to register for kindergarten for the 2018-19 school year. We are encouraging all parents and guardians to enroll their child online as early as possible for district staffing and planning purposes.
After you have completed the online registration for preschool OR kindergarten at http://www.vtsd.com/walnut-ridge-school/ or http://www.vtsd.com/cedar-mountain-primary-school/, please bring the required documents to one of the registration sessions at Cedar Mountain Primary School on the following dates: Monday, March 26: 9:30-11:30 a.m.; Tuesday, March 27, 2018: 4:30-8 p.m.; Wednesday, March 28, 2018: 4:30 a.m. -8 p.m.; Thursday, March 29, 2018: 9:30-11:30 a.m.
