Newton musician to play at museum

Music aficionados will delight to the strains of "Brass at the Bickford," a concert by the renowned Hanover Wind Symphony featuring great music for brass band and brass ensemble, transcribed for wind band. The concert will take place Sunday, March 11, at 2 p.m., at the Bickford Theatre in the Morris Museum, 6 Normandy Heights Road, in Morristown.

The Hanover Wind Symphony (www.hanoverwinds.org) is a unique extension of the great American tradition of adult music performance. One of only a handful of outstanding community-based adult wind bands in New Jersey, the Hanover Wind Symphony delights audiences of all ages by giving a contemporary twist to traditional favorites. Tickets to "Brass at the Bickford" are $25 general admission; $20 for seniors, Morris Museum members and Theatre Guild members; and $15 for students (18 and under or with a valid college ID).
