President Lexie Haurey and Treasurer Morgan Castro of the High Point Regional High School National Art Honor Society created a glass mural for the local OSCAR animal shelter in Sparta.
Kelly Shenise was the advisor of this project.
Materials used are broken glass, grout, and wood. The mural has a design of a sunset and silhouettes of dogs and cats sitting in a field of grass. Along the edges is a series of paw prints. The wooden border was constructed in the Material Processing room with teacher Alexander Gonzalez. Lexie and Morgan spent long hours during and after school working on this project for there community service.
It took a total of five months to complete.
