    March 9Jason Sinclair, 43, of Stanhope was sentenced to serve 180 days in jail, receiving credit for 154 days time served. Sinclair was also ordered to complete three years of probation, to submit to a substance abuse evaluation and follow the recommendations, to enter the D.E.C.I.D.E. program, and to pay mandatory fines and fees. He was also ordered to have no contact with the victim.
    Sinclair pled guilty on Jan. 16, 2018 to one count of witness tampering, a third-degree crime, one count of criminal mischief, a fourth-degree crime, and one count of contempt, a disorderly persons offense.
    Sinclair was arrested following a domestic violence incident with his ex-girlfriend and after he smashed her car windshield with a mailbox post. Sinclair was again arrested after threatening his ex-girlfriend if she did not drop charges against him.
    March 12Anna Zemanek, 32, of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., pleaded guilty to employing a juvenile in the commission of a criminal act, a third-degree crime, and shoplifting, a fourth-degree crime. Sentencing is presently anticipated for April 27, 2018.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted that on Jan. 21, 2017, she used her 9-year-old daughter to move shoplifted items from Kohl’s store to her vehicle in the parking lot.
    The case was investigated by Sgt. Steven Benson and Ptl. Russell Post of the Newton Police Department.
    March 14Joel Caserta, 48, of Newton pleaded guilty to Aggravated Assault, a third-degree crime.
    Sentencing is presently anticipated for April 27.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to striking an individual in the face with his fists causing facial fractures on March 13, 2016, in Newton.
    The case was investigated by Patrolman Jose Morales and other officers of the Newton Police Department.
    March 15Kemar Jackman, 27, of Brooklyn was indicted on he charges of conspiracy to commit forgery and forgery by uttering, third-degree crimes.
    The case was presented to the Grand Jury by Assistant Prosecutor Shaina Brenner.
    Arraignment before the Superior Court in Newton will be within the next 6 weeks.
    March 16Zachary Johnson, 26, of Acworth, Ga., was sentence dto three years of probation with credit for 53 days of time served. He was ordered to submit to a TASC evaluation and follow any and all recommendations made from same, submit a DNA sample, complete 75 hours of community service work, and pay fines and fees totaling $1,205.
    His driver's license was ordered suspended for six months.
    He pleaded guilty on Feb. 5, 2018, to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third-degree crime.
    The defendant was in possession of heroin on Aug. 31, 2016, in Ogdensburg.
    Adrienne Wieladek, 40, of Highland Lakes was sentenced to five years of probation with two violations of probation to run concurrently. She was ordered to complete drug treatment, attend AA/NA meetings once per week, write a letter of apology within 30 days, submit to a TASC evaluation, at the discretion of probation, and follow any and all recommendations made from same, submit to random drug monitoring, and pay restitution of $263 and fines and fees totaling $155.
    She pleaded guilty on Feb. 5, 2018, to theft, a fourth-degree crime.
    The defendant took cash from her Wantage employer during April and May 2017.
    Bryan Peine, 30, of Lafayette pleaded guilty to one count of hindering apprehension, a third-degree crime.
    On Oct. 22, 2017, Peine allowed a friend to borrow his motorcycle and when he learned that his friend was involved in a chase with police, Peine reported the motorcycle stolen and attempted to conceal his friend’s identity.
    Sentencing is presently anticipated for April 27, 2018.
