JCP&L crossed a line, needs to go

I have compiled a letter of deep concern to JCP&L and copied it to the Board of Public Works in Sussex County, as well as to Mayor Harry Shortway.
Amidst the turmoil and aggravation of not having power due to the frequent snow storms this past month it b ecame very clear to me then and afterwards that I was not receving accurage information from JCP&L!. Are they aware of the deep concern many of us experience when an emergency envelopes us? I should think so by now.
Specifically we were not given any reason as to why we lost power the day after the initial storm even after we asked. The temperature of my house fell way below a healthy tempearture and with health issues this became a great concern. I had nowhere else to go plus the roads were still not passable.
Perhaps the most disheartening was the seemingly lack of care given by anyone on the phone when calls were made to them. The apathy permeatted the conversation from their employees. When you don't feel supported with even a kind word it drives the frustration and concern deeper. Any human being can show compassion and kindness, especially during an emergency where it's needed most. I find this so sad that they were so irritated they became rude.
At this point, I feel strongly led to switch to another company but we're told JCP&L has a franchise in my area. Why is that? How do we rectify that? Under what law and date was JCP&L given the franchise in Sussex County? How can we request a change and have it brought for a re-bid to these areas? This is really, really important at this point. When health becomes an issue, a line has been crossed.
JCP&L crossed this line many times and most of us have lost respect for the company and those in charge. Changes are needed and needed immediately. I trust answers will be forthcoming.
