The owners of Mountain Creek received a tentative approval for a 120-united hotel and commercial real estate space on the approximately 90-acre Sammis Farm.
The land is located across from the South Ski Lodge at Mountain Creek Resort on Route 94.
Route 94 LLC announced it made a deal withi Fahs construction of Binghamton, N.Y. to develop the property.
"Fahs Construction is a first class organization from our home town in Binghamton and will be a tremendous partner in this development," said Koffman, a member of Route 94, LLC, which owns the property. "They have all the skills sets necessary to create, finance and execute.”
Fahs Construction was founded in 1947 and has grown and evolved into a diverse construction company with three divisions: General Construction. Development and Commercial Paving.
“I am excited to work with the Koffman family and help develop Vernon," Fahs CEO Maynard Fahs said. "With Legoland coming into the next county and Legends Resort being developed I see plenty of opportunity for this magnificent piece of property. We are working on feasibility studies that include a variety of options including an assisted living facility, a hotel or a Youth Fields facility with a state of the art fitness center."
Last May, Mountain Creek filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and at their March 26 meeting, the Vernon Township Council discussed the Mountain Creek bankruptcy in executive session.
