James G. Schamble, Jr.

James G. Schamble Jr., 64, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at his Scenic Lakes home. James was born on January 14, 1954, in Paterson, New Jersey, to the late James G. Schamble Sr. and Ann Louise (nee Lenny) Schamble. James was a longtime resident of Vernon Township.
James served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a deer butcher for over 20 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
James was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Edward Schamble. He is survived by his children, JoAnn Schamble of Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania, James G. Schamble III and his wife Leesa of Hamburg, George Schamble and his wife Jennifer of Wanaque and Kathe Chamberlain of Vernon; his eight grandchildren; his sisters, Luann Snell and her husband, Russ, of West Milford and Chickie Curtiss and her husband, Ron, of Georgia; and his nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends will be received on May 5 from 2 to 4 p.m., with services at 4 p.m., at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Rt. 94, Vernon (GPS use 1 Vander Hoof Court).
