WANTAGE — Opening Day for the Van Bunschooten Museum, located at 1097 Rt. 23 in Wantage, will be May 13.
    Hours are 1-4 p.m.
On display will be an original corner cupboard that was original to the house and has recently been returned by George Brehm, grandson of Rachael Cooper who was the daughter of Britta Cooper, the last remaining Cooper to live in the house.
Also on display will be many Pressed Glass Goblets. Pressed Glass was very inexpensive compared to etched glass that was favored by the wealthy.
The museum is owned by the DAR and is on the National Historic Register. Much of the furniture and decorative pieces are original and that makes the museum “more alive and personal" to the docents.
The Museum will be open the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month till the end of October from 1-4 p.m.
