The Vernon Township High School Athletic Department honored its outstanding athletes for the spring 2018 semester.

Sophomore Tara Kipilla of the varsity girls Lacrosse team scored 5 goals and had 2 assists for 7 points last week in games against Lenape Valley and Villa Walsh.

According to Head Coach Carlson, she really stepped up against Villa Walsh scoring 4 goals. He said Tara is working hard to become a consistent scoring threat within the offense. She continues to get stronger with each game as she gains experience.

Senior Captain and three-year Varsity starter Cole Genneken achieved the milestone of 200 career points this past week for the Varsity Boys Lacrosse Team. Cole scored 17 points in total for the week bringing his season total to 41 goals and 19 assists. Cole also scored his 100th career goal earlier in the season. According to Assistant Coach Coleman, Cole is not only an outstanding offensive player but he is an outstanding defender and face-off player as well. Cole will be attending Albright College in the fall and will continue to play lacrosse.
