    May 4Jason Rios, 41, of North Bergen pleased guilty to one count of making terroristic threats, a third-degree crime, one count of receiving stolen property, a third-degree crime, and one count of simple assault, a disorderly persons offense. Rios admitting to physically assaulting his girlfriend in her home and threatening to kill her. Rios was also found to be in possession of a stolen handgun.
    Sentencing is presently anticipated for July 27.
    Kaitlin Kelly, 21, of Lake Ariel, Pa., was sentenced to three years of probation, ordered to undergo a substance-abuse evaluation and follow all recommendations, comply with all Family Court orders, loss of driving privileges for seven months and pay fines and fees.
    Kelly was given four days jail credit.
    She pleaded guilty on Jan. 16, to endangering the welfare of a child (a third-degree crime), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (a Disorderly Persons offense) and Driving While Impaired.
    Joseph Colon, 29, of Boonton was sentenced to four years of probation. He was ordered to complete 100 hours of community service work, submit to a substance abuse evaluation and follow any and all recommendations made from same, attend AA/NA meetings a minimum of three times per week, submit to random urine screenings, and pay fines and fees totaling $1,130.
    He pleaded guilty on March 12, to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third-degree crime.
    On Nov. 20, 2017, Sparta Police stopped Colon for a motor vehicle offense. Colon was in possession of heroin at that time.
    David Heller, 32, of Unionville, N.Y., was sentenced to 270 days in jail with credit for 176 days of time served and four years probation. Heller was also ordered to obtain a psychological evaluation, attend anger management and to pay mandatory fines and fees.
    Heller pleaded guilty on Jan. 16 to one (1) count of aggravated assault, a third-degree crime. On Nov. 9, 2017, Heller met his ex-girlfriend to drop off their daughter and they got into an argument and Heller strangled her until she lost consciousness.
    May 7Deloris Friedman, 50, of Branchville pleaded guilty to one count of simple assault, a disorderly persons offense and one count of harassment, a petty disorderly persons offense.
    Friedman admitted to threatening and striking and acquaintance.
    Sentencing is presently anticipated for June 29.
