Crystal Springs to host MS benefit

| 23 May 2018 | 12:40

There will be a Walk Around Food & Wine Tasting and Live Auction on Wednesday, May 30, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. to benefit Voices For Faith.
There also will be a Live Bocelli concert performed by Jon Hartlage. Tickets will cost $55 per person.
Voices For Faith is a newly formed MS Charitable Funding Corporation based in Sussex County, and was recently registered as a 501c3 Non Profit Organization.
The new charity was established by Wantage residents Faith Anderson and Jon Hartlage, who have been on their own path with Multiple Sclerosis since Faith's formal diagnosis in 2014. This MS Charity was formed so that funding can be targeted directly to treatment facilities on behalf of patients when health insurance cannot or will not cover the high costs of this life-inhibiting disorder.
The mission of Voices For Faith is to target funding toward patient treatment at facilities that utilize holistic and progressive treatment programs which offer the opportunity for real healing results for Multiple Sclerosis patients. There are countless charities around the world devoted to research, many of which involve pharmaceutical-based approaches aimed at the mere management of disease symptoms.
Although this approach is somewhat beneficial to patients with "relapsing-remittent" forms of MS, the long-term results from pharmaceutical disease management are less than hopeful. Furthermore, even though the world of research holds increasing promise, the hoped-for results most often lie far into the future ... time that many MS patients do not have, as their disabilities and quality of life deteriorate.
Patients like Faith Anderson, with the primary progressive form of the disease, have little hope of obtaining any answers or relief from debilitating symptoms for which the medical industry fully admits there are no treatments. As Jon and Faith discover alternative ways to approach her care and challenges with MS, they want to be able to share those healing opportunities with other patients.
Jon and Faith are both New York-area professional singers. Jon has collaborated with Licia Albanese and Jerome Hines of The Metropolitan Opera, and has presented wine and music events throughout the NY Tri-State area.
In 2016, Faith produced a music video called 'Faith Anderson I Promise', which has been shared on Twitter by Jamie Sigler from the Cast of 'The Sopranos' and Candice Cameron from ABC's 'The View', and was the feature of a full length on-camera interview with Della Crews of News 12 New Jersey. For the past 18 years, Faith and Jon have been part of the directing team of the local youth theater company, The Highland Stage, based in Vernon.
