Jack Allan Pfeifer, 84, died peacefully in Hospice House, Cape Coral, Fla., on Sunday, April 15, 2018.
His life started in Brooklyn, N.Y., from there to South Ozone Park, Queens, N.Y., onto Richmond Hill, N.Y. moving over to Lake Tamarack, Stockholm, N.J. Retiring as a “Snow Bird” with a home in Cape Coral, Fla., while returning to his beloved Lake community.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara of 61 years; his granddaughters, Katie (John) and Saphira (Jamie); brother, Louis; sister Ginnie and nephew Louis, Jr. Loving ”Partners” at work and families, who have kept him close throughout his lifetime, and friends at his side. His loss was great and heartbreaking when his sons passed: Jamie (48), 4/19/2015 and John (53), 2/10/2017
His education ended as a teenager in High School. He was self-taught which led to a career as an automotive blue-collar worker. Starting out spray-painting cars (planes), mechanic, driver, and finally his most accomplished job with United Parcel Service. He spent 31 years in a company he loved, his “partners’ in life and his pride empowered.
Along the way he was loved for his compassion, his friendship, his dry wit and jokes, his quick anger (that didn’t last long) and memories that are held dear by friends and family. He found joy in playing golf with his buddies along with boating on the Florida waterways with his fellow mates. Adventures were waiting for him.
Friendships were made and kept dear to him.
