Camping adds festival experience to event
AUGUSTA — If two days of great music and great food isn’t enough, stay the night. Or two. Or three.
The 9th annual Rock, Ribs & Ridges festival, presented by Franklin Sussex Auto Mall, features performances by some of the biggest names in Country music, Southern and blues rock including two-time Grammy Award winner Travis Tritt, plus mouthwatering barbecue served up by top pitmasters from around the country at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, NJ from June 23-24, 2018.
Festival-goers looking to extend their stay have the option of camping out throughout the weekend just yards away from the festival area at the Fairgrounds. They will also receive exclusive campers-only, after-hours concerts by Sugar Mountain “Celebrating the Genius of Neil Young” on Friday, June 22 and by country blues band Whiskey Crossing on Saturday, June 23.
“Camping out or sleeping in your RV is a great way to make the most out of your weekend here, you never have to leave the Fairgrounds,” said Festival Executive Producer Howard Freeman of Promo1. “It’s also a cost efficient way for outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy a truly amazing festival experience.”
Country superstar Travis Tritt, Poco, and The Weight Band headline a country-oriented Sunday lineup on June 24. The Outlaws, Foghat and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Artimus Pyle head the opening day lineup on Saturday, June 23. Competitive rib teams will vie for thousands of dollars in prize money in a juried rib cook-off and the coveted titles of “Best Ribs,” “Best Sauce,” and “People’s Choice.” Festival attendees can enjoy their great offerings as well.
The General Admission Weekend Pass with Camping includes up to three nights of camping, access to the festival both days, access to campers-only concerts on the main stage by Sugar Mountain on Friday night and by Whiskey Crossing on Saturday night, an after-concert bonfire on Friday night, and overnight access each night to restrooms and hot and cold showers.
