Nunziata Rose Triano

Nunziata (Nancy) Rose Triano, age 94, of Sykesville, Md, formerly of Barry Lakes, N.J., and The Bronx, N.Y., passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, Md.
Born Oct. 19, 1923, in The Bronx, N.Y, she was the daughter of the late Michele (Mike) Grieco, and Angelina (Graziano) Grieco. She was the wife of the late Patsy Triano, who passed away in September 1997.
Nancy worked as an office worker for Topic Publishing, in Manhattan, N.Y. She married Patsy Triano in June 1956 and gave up her career, dedicating the rest of her life to being a mother, homemaker, and caregiver. Nancy was a Life Member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Wallkill Valley Memorial Post 8441, and served two terms as Ladies Auxiliary President. She was active in the church, and was a member of the Rosary Society of Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church in Highland Lakes, N.J.
Nancy loved spending time with her family. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was kind to all. Nancy always loved animals, and would feed them from her back porch.
Her survivors include son and daughter–in-law Michael, and Linda Triano, of Sykesville, Md., daughter Angela Triano of New York, N.Y., son and daughter-in-law Robert Triano and Sherry Havens of Barry Lakes N.J., and granddaughters Annemarie Rose and Jennifer Esther Triano of Sykesville, Md.
She was predeceased by her loving sister, Josephine Grieco.
Relatives and friends will be received at the Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home 241 Rt. 94 (GPS use 1 Vanderhoof Court), Vernon, NJ on Monday June 25th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Family will gather at funeral home on Tuesday June 26, at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial service at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church Highland Lakes, NJ burial service to follow at Glenwood Cemetery.
