Sussex resident earns ShopRite scholarship

SUSSEX BOROUGH — Sarah Fairweather of Sussex and an upcoming senior at Centenary University earned a $1,000 scholarship from Ronetco, owner of local ShopRite supermarkets for the 2018-19.
Her major is Elementary School Education and she was recently inducted into Kappa Delta Epsilon, the honor society for students majoring in education. Fairweather has worked part-time as a cashier at the ShopRite of Newton since March of 2014.
In addition to working at ShopRite and going to school, she loves reading, going on adventures, and spending time with friends and family.
Offering opportunities for students to learn and earn while working at ShopRite is demonstrated through the Summer Internship Program for rising college juniors and seniors, as well as workshops and seminars and an in-house development program that helps to instill and cultivate competencies and leadership skills.
