Republicans demand a better team

Sussex County Freeholders Lazzaro and Rose have just achieved the unimaginable: These two first-term Republican Freeholders have been thrown out by their own party in a primary. I mean that’s more difficult than turning ethanol back into corn on the cob.
They did it with the assistance of the county’s most famous traitor, Scott Garrett. My dad once told me a dog that will bite its own master is a dog with no future. Garrett voted against his own pepple and it caught up with him. He may never have cussed on a Sunday nor kicked his dog on Christmas Day but he did commit the most vile of political sins, he worked against his own people during a time of crisis, Hurricane Sandy. The people of Sussex County proved they won’t put up with that by shoving him out. It’s hard to believe the Lazzaro team would have accepted Garret’s support.
Lazzaro managed to offend a lot of folks by saying so many live wacko lifestyles. I have to admit that didn’t bother me at all, then again I thought he was referring to Trump.
Freeholder Rose whom I had high hopes for as an intellectual influence for our county was dumped along with Lazzaro. He is living proof of the edict of guilt by association.
We have also witnessed the reality that you don’t mess with a county sheriff, Strada, who is faithfully performing his constitutional duties, especially while he has the most renowned of pit-bulls in George Daggett as his attorney. That’s like trying to move against an irresistible force and an immovable object, what were they thinking?
Sussex County just took a giant step forward. I am convinced that our two freeholders, candidates, Ms. Fantasia and Mr. Hertzberg along with sitting Freeholders Pettillo and Yardley will bring us to new heights in an alliance with Senator Oroho, and Assemblymen Wirths and, Space.
Let me say it the same way the more enlightened Republicans of our county did to the Lazzaro/Garrett gang, “You’re out”!
