Library to host Shakespeare Gumbo

| 06 Jul 2018 | 03:08

WANTAGE — Shakespeare will be coming to the Sussex-Wantage Library on Saturday, July 14, at 6 PM.
This year’s program, Shakespeare Gumbo, is a stirring collection of moments and music from Shakespeare’s great canon of plays, as well as selections from some of the profound, light-hearted, and witty works his plays have inspired.
Presented by the Shrewd Mechanicals, a taut, four-member ensemble from the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, this hour-long presentation brings to life the joy, wit, poetry, and music of the world’s greatest playwright.
This program will be held in the Sussex-Wantage Library Amphitheater, weather permitting. The library is located at 69 Route 639 in Wantage, next to the Sussex Airport. Bring your own chair; the Friends of the Sussex-Wantage Library will provide water.
If in doubt about the weather, call the library at 973-875-3940 or check the Friends’ website at Friendsofswlibrary.org. In the event of rain, the program will be moved inside, where seating will be first-come, first-served.
This event is free, and no registration is required.
