DAR schedules a "Christmas in July" open house

    WANTAGE-The Chinkchewunksa chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold an annual open house, "Christmas in July," on July 13, 14, and 15 from 11-4 each day at the DAR Van Bunschooten Museum at 1097 Route 23.
    A Complimentary tour of the historic home of Rev. Elias Van Bunschooten and other DAR buildings at 1097 Route will given each day by docents in colonial costumes, in addition, there will be attic treasures, quilt barn and food and bake sales.
    An opening ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Friday July 13 will feature the Sussex County Sheriff's Honor Guard.
    Civil War and colonial re-enactors will appear with the Lost Art Lacers on Saturday. Civil War re-enactors will also perform on Sunday.
    Santa Claus will be on hand at 12 Sunday for taking free pictures.
