Teacher gives advice to former students

Class of 2018 — As I sit back and look through my teaching portfolio - I can't help but wonder how my former Kindergarten students are now doing as high school graduation has come and gone. It only seems like yesterday I was student teaching Kindergarten in Clifton E. Lawrence School in Wantage, NJ (Spring 2006 - Mrs. Harde's class). My AM and PM Kindergarten classes were just starting out on their education journey and I was graduating from college. Now, my students are seniors who graduated and moving on with their journey in life.
Now, certain students will move on to college, certain students will serve our country, and certain students will join the work force. Each and every one has a different path in this life. Do not compare yourself to anyone. No matter what you do.... work hard, treat others with respect, and realize you have a purpose in this life.
As life moves forwards for all of us...remember: take it one day at a time, and one step at a time. I wish you much success in your journey. Congratulations on your graduation.
    Sincerely,
    Jonathan Leroux
