— Be a tough mucker! Joint the annual MuckStock 5K on Sunday, Aug. 19, to raise money for veterans.
The MuckStock obstacle course at Kahr Arms, 105 Kahr Avenue, Greeley, PA, will sorely test your spirit, strength, and stamina. Participants will do their best to overcome obstacles strategically placed throughout muddy terrain.
New this year is the paint ball obstacle.
Here are some requirements:
Participants must be 16 or older to join the race, and must have a photo I.D.
Children ages 13 to 15 must have a parent or guardian present to verify their age and provide a waiver.
Children 12 and under participating in the Kidz Race must have a parent or guardian present at all times and provide waiver.
Teams are allowed, with individual registration for each member.
The race kit includes a shirt, bib, finishing metal, finishing snack, and free after-party: See vetstockamerica/muckstock.com for more information.
Parking costs $5 per vehicle, cash only. A shuttle vehicle may be available.
The action starts at 8:30 a.m. Waves of up to 75 racers per group go out every 15 minutes.
The proceeds will benefit Folds of Honor (foldsofhonor.org) and other local veterans' organizations, including — new this year — Horses for Heros.
To register on the day of the race, print out both the paper registration form and waiver found at vetstockamerica.com and bring these completed documents with you on the day of race.
The schedule is subject to change.
