The Sussex County Library System is pleased to announce its continued participation in the Department of Labor and Workforce Development’s New Jersey Career Connections program.
Through this grant opportunity, the library system has been able to offer Jersey Job Club workshops on resume building, job searching, LinkedIn, interviewing, and networking in addition to computer courses and one-on-one job search assistance.
Sussex County residents can readily access these Career Connections services at all six Sussex County Library branches. Location and event information is available at sussexcountylibrary.org, and individual appointments can be scheduled with Career Connections Library Associate, Julie Knapp, by calling 973-948-3660, Ext. 3409.
Now entering its third year, and funded through a combination of state and federal grants, New Jersey Career Connections is designed to ensure that all New Jersey residents have the tools and resources they need to have successful careers by providing uniform career guidance and job search assistance services. It brings together government, nonprofit, and educational institutions, including One-Stop Career Centers, community colleges, community-based and faith-based organizations as well as public libraries to provide personalized, comprehensive, and effective career navigation assistance, both online and in person, to jobseekers throughout the state.
