Jeannie Berry Sindle

Jeanie Berry Sindle(nee Carswell), 76 years old, died after a long illness at home on Tuesday, Aug. 7. Born to Peter and Susan Carswell in Ayr, Scotland, she came to the United States in 1964 settling in Glen Rock, NJ, she then lived in Fair Lawn, NJ before moving to Vernon Twp., NJ 40 years ago.
Jeanie had worked as a laundry worker at The Americana in Vernon and as a cafeteria worker for the Vernon Twp. Board of Education before retiring in 2002. Jeanie enjoyed travelling, especially in the RV and was an accomplished card player and doting grandmother.
Jeanie is the beloved wife for 52 years of Robert J. Sindle of Vernon Twp., NJ. Devoted mother of Dawn C. Kneer and her husband, Kevin M. of Vernon Twp., NJ and Sean D. Sindle of Vernon Twp., NJ. Loving grandmother of Krystal L. Lowe and her husband, Dustin and Samantha L. Kneer. Great grandmother of Colton M. Lowe. Dear sister of Isabel Telfer, Mary Conway, Charlotte Lindsey, Petra Agnew, Peter Carswell and Alexander Carswell. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Susan and Peter Carswell, sisters, Susan Jellema and Elizabeth Shearer, niece Susanne Telfer, nephews Steven Conway and Lewis Jellema, great nephew Stephen Telfer and brother in law Andy Telfer.
