Approximately 200 hundred people came out last night for Vernon’s first Movie Monday night and enjoyed watching Disney’s “Coco” on the big screen as the moon peeked out from behind the clouds.
Hosted by the Vernon Arts Committee along with the Vernon Board of Recreation, families brought their chairs and blankets and relaxed on the lawn between Glen Meadow and Cedar Mountain Schools for this free community event.
Grilled food, beverages and snacks were available for purchase from The Tracks Deli, The Scoop Ice Cream and Sue’s House of Fudge.
Next Monday, Aug. 27, the committee will Universal Illumination's “Sing” and then as summer officially winds down, Disney’s “Moana” will be shown on Sept. 3.. All shows start at dusk. Parking is in the upper lots at Glen Meadow School.
