Vernon — The Vernon Township Fire Department and its Auxiliary sponsored its first Water Palooza on Saturday August 25 on the Glen Meadow School field.
According to organizer, Rory Byra, the palooza consisted of all types of water fun and play. Included on Saturday were bubble stations, water balloons, kiddie pools, water guns and water super soakers.
Young participants splashed and cooled off on a warm August day and also enjoyed the spray of the fire hose from the Vernon tanker truck.
Door prizes, DJ music and lunch also added to the fun.
