Aug. 10Jason Kiss, 47, of Hamburg, was sentenced to two years probation with credit for time served. He must submit to TASC and mental health evaluations at the discretion of probation and must also pay mandatory fines and fees.
He pled guilty on June 25, 2018, to Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, a fourth-degree crime.
He admitted to possessing a weapon with the purpose to use it unlawfully against the person or property of another.
Edward Dorst, 39, of Franklin was sentenced to 180 days in the Keogh Dwyer Correctional Facility with credit for time served. He must submit to a DNA test, pay restitution and mandatory fines and fees.
He pleaded guilty on June 18 to criminal mischief, a fourth-degree crime.
He admitted to being under the influence of alcohol and then damaging a vehicle with a knife.
Aug. 20Helene Surowiec, 43, of Sparta was sentenced to a year of probation, to complete an AA/NA program as well as counseling and was given 2 days' credit for 2 days served.
Surowiec pled guilty on Aug. 20, 2018, to one (1) count of Defiant Trespass, a fourth-degree crime.
Scott Reese, 41, of Montague pleaded guilty to one count of making terroristic threats, a third-degree crime. Reese admitted to threatening to kill T.F. with purpose to put T.F. in imminent fear of death under circumstances reasonably causing T.F. to believe the immediacy of the threat and the likelihood that it would be carried out.
Sentencing is presently anticipated for Oct. 5, 2018.
Aug. 24Alexander Wehmeyer, 27, of Paterson, was sentenced to six months in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility to run concurrent with his current sentence of four years from Passaic County with credit for 119 days of time served and 443 days of gap time. He was ordered to make joint and several restitution of $901.34, submit a DNA sample, and pay fines and fees totaling $280.00.
He pleaded guilty on July 9 to conspiracy and shoplifting, third-degree crimes.
The defendant conspired with another to take merchandise from the Hampton Walmart on Dec. 27, 2016, without paying.
Tina Piazza, 45, of Toms River, was sentenced to five years probation. She must pay all mandatory fines and fees.
She pleaded guilty on June 26, 2018, to shoplifting, a third-degree crime.
She admitted to shoplifting pet medication and pet accessories valued at $2,900.00 from Walmart in Hampton Township in March, 2018.
Aug. 31Yuri Schroder, 39, of Stillwater was sentenced to four years of probation. He was ordered to complete 100 hours of community service work, submit to a TASC evaluation and follow all recommendations from same, complete an approved Driver Improvement Program once per year for the next four years, attend five AA/NA meetings per week, make restitution of $1,700 and pay fines and fees totaling $205. For the Driving While Intoxicated offense, Schroder’s driver license was suspended for one year, he must complete 24 hours at the Intoxicated Drivers Resource Center and utilize ignition interlock during the suspension and one year thereafter, and pay fines and fees totaling $689.
He pleaded guilty on July 16, 2018, to Assault by Auto, a fourth-degree crime, and to Driving While Intoxicated, a motor vehicle offense.
