VERNON — Anticipating the opening of her pet grooming shop, Christina Holtz is truly excited about her new venture at the old Outkast location on Route 94 in Vernon.
The totally renovated building by Bill Faustina of Phillips-Glenwood Inc. boasts four grooming stations, a stainless- steel bathtub, all types of shampoos and conditioners including non-allergenic and kennel blowers. The building’s exterior was repainted bright and colorful gray and pink, according to Holtz, to represent boy and girl dogs.
The ultimate animal lover, Holtz recently completed the five-month grooming course at the Clip Shop in Newfoundland and has obtained both her license and certification.
“I love what I do and my grooming training was amazing, I learned so much and I never got bit,” Holtz smiled.
Christina’s Grooming will have its grand opening on Saturday, Sept. 15 with an 8:30 a.m. ribbon cutting. Offered on that day is a $10 off coupon and other celebratory activities. Credit cards are accepted and walk-ins are welcome.
“Vernon is a fantastic location and the town has been so welcoming and supportive to my new business,” Holtz said.
The shop’s hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday thru Saturday. Christina’s Grooming can be reached at 973-209-1000 or christinasgrooming@icloud.com.
