Jefferson slips past High Point

Jefferson Township High School defeated High Point Regional High School in varsity football on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018. The final score was 10-6.
Jefferson Township quarterback Matthew Johnson threw one touchdown and also kicked two extra points. In the second quarter Johnson connected with David Hanna for a 22-yard touchdown pass. Following that score Johnson kicked the extra point to push the Falcons ahead 7-6. Johnson kicked another field goal to seal the deal in the Falcons favor late in the fourth quarter.
High Point took the lead in the first quarter, as quarterback Jake Liscinsky scored on a 1-yard quarterback sneak to give the Wildcats the early 6-0 lead. The extra point kick failed.
