Have you tried everything from nagging to pleading and are you out of solutions and also stressed by trying to help a loved one overcome addiction? Have you tried other support groups and need a different approach? Would you like to know how to improve your quality of life while at the same time, help your loved one? Please join us and spread the word about a group for anyone interested in family (or friends) support for recovery from addiction.
This open support group meets twice a month on the first and third Thursdays of the month to discuss the “Community Reinforcement and Family Training Approach” (C.R.A.F.T.) found in the books, “Beyond Addiction,” and “Get Your Loved One Sober.”
Both of these books reference the “Community Reinforcement and Family Training Approach” (C.R.A.F.T.) to help significant others learn how to successfully engage substance using loved ones to seek help or even decrease harmful use. The “C.R.A.F.T. approach” also helps improve relationships after a loved one enters treatment or when someone is already navigating recovery. Come and find support for yourself while increasing the opportunity to help your loved one.
This free discussion group will meet every first and third Thursday nights of every month from 6:30-7:30PM at The Center, 65 Newton-Sparta Road, Newton, NJ 07860. Still have questions? Feel free to reach out for more information.
Call Annmarie at (973)940-2966 or email annmarie@centerforprevention.org To receive text message updates about this and other recovery support meetings, text @recovery65 to 81010.
