Freda leads Newton to win over High Point

Quarterback Michael Freda threw for 76 yards and ran for 86 yards and one touchdown on eight rushes, leading Newteon to an 18-7 win over High Point on Friday, Sept. 21.
On the defense side Freda caught the ball for an interception while playing defensive back. Running back Ryan Kaiser had 110 yards and one touchdown on 25 carries. Running back Nick Brigante scored one rushing touchdown.
Quarterback Jake Liscinsky ran in a three-yard touchdown for High Point. Grayson Sabo kicked the extra point kick.
Team records: High Point Wildcats 1-2. Newton Braves 4-0.
