Rich passed on September 27th surrounded by his loving family at his comfortable home in Glenwood, N.J. He was born on Oct 13, 1952, to Dorothy and John Giuriceo of Yonkers, N.Y., where he had lived before moving to Glenwood, N.J.
Rich had owned and operated Jolly's Restaurant and Bar, where he would soon meet the love of his life Doris. After that, he then managed Burger King in Vernon, N.J., for over 15 years. Before retiring, both Rich & Doris were Independent Distributors for Peet's Coffee & Tea. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Rich was a hardworking, dependable man and the first person people would call when they needed help, day or night knowing he would be there for them. In the past few years, he took on the responsibility of caring for his parents, his mother-in-law, Uncle and Aunt-in-Law. He did everything he had to do to make sure they were all taken care of. He also happened to be the last person who would ask for help for himself.
Rich is survived by his wife Doris (Landay) of 21 years. His three loving children include Crystal Zeikowitz and her husband, David, Gina Casale and her husband Andy, Richard Giuriceo Jr. and his step-son Drew Repasy. Rich was a grandfather to 5 beautiful grandchildren; Adam, Lauren, Andrew, Bella, and Chris. Additionally, he is also survived by his loving younger brother Gary Giuriceo of Flower Mound, his brothers-in-law Clyde Landay and his wife Diana, and James Landay with his wife Kathy. The entire family would like to express our deepest gratitude toward the following individuals and organizations: Dr. John Fisher, Dr. Michael Lindy, Tammy and the Radiology Department at Newton Hospital, the entire staff of Sparta Hall at Barn Hill Care Center, Compassionate Care Hospice (especially Kelly & Noreen).
To all those who sent prayers and well wishes during his illness, we are forever grateful. Memorial gifts can be made to "Compassionate Care" 532 Lafayette Rd Sparta, NJ 07871 and the "American Liver Foundation" www.liverfoundation.org.
