Cornerstone Playhouse to have 'Spring Awakening'

The Tony Award winning musical by Sater and Sheik based on the play by Wedekind, featuring a gorgeous Broadway Score comes to Sussex County, NJ.
Spring Awakening explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood with a poignancy and passion that is illuminating and unforgettable. The landmark musical is an electrifying fusion of morality, sexuality and rock and roll that has exhilarated audiences across our nation. Although Spring Awakening is set in the 19th century, the lessons and text still ring true with today's youth, parents and adults alike.
Director, Janine Byrnes shares the creative process with Musical Director/Conductor Thomas Silkowski and Choreographer, Kara Byrnes. The cast lead by Olivia Clavel-Davis as Wendla, Andrew Wire as Melchoir and Izac Cruz as Moritz will not disappoint. The entire company brings their unmatched talent and passion to the production from Morris, Sussex, Warren Counties and Warwick, NY. The production will feature a professional live band. This performance is intended for a mature audience, teenagers through adults. The production is produced with permission from Music Theatre International.
Performances are Oct. 19-28 with Friday and Saturday shows beginning at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees beginning at 2 p.m.
