Charles G. Romanelli, Jr., age 86, of Wood-Ridge passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice in Fredon. Born in Hackensack to the late Charles and Ida (Rosenberger) Romanelli, he had lived in Wood-Ridge before recently moving to Sussex County with his son and daughter-in-law. Mr. Romanelli had served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He had been employed by Bell Telephone as a supervisor in Rutherford before his retirement, He was predeceased by his wife, Theresa (Mei) Romanelli on June 7, 2015. Mr. Romanelli is survived by his two sons, Thomas C. Romanelli of Belleville and Jeffrey Romanelli and his wife Bonnie of Vernon; his daughter, Karen Romanelli Apruzzese and her partner Len Boccassini of Mechanicsburg, PA; his son-in-law, Anthony Apruzzese of Mahwah; his five grandchildren, Dean Romanelli and is wife Kaitlin, Kyle Romanelli, Jake Romanelli, Janelle Apruzzese and Matthew Apruzzese; his sisters-in-law, Marian, Lucy, and Marie; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Costa Memorial Home, Boulevard and Central Avenue, Hasbrouck Heights. Private funeral and burial in Hackensack Cemetery will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018. Local funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex.
