Dance Expression to host special instructor

Lynne Grossman will present an Int/Advanced Master Ballet Class and College Dance Audition Presentation at Dance Expression dance arts on Thursday, Oct 18 at 7:30 p.m.
She received her early ballet training from Fred Danieli and renowned master ballet teacher Gabriela Darvash. She danced with the Garden State Ballet, The Israel Ballet, Austin Ballet Theatre, Sharir Modern Dance Company, and the Texas National Dance Theatre in Austin. She enjoyed the opportunity to perform nationally and internationally, and in a wide variety of dance projects as both a ballet and modern dancer.
Lynne has danced principle roles in classics such as Romeo and Juliet, Sleeping Beauty, and the Nutcracker, as well as Balanchine ballets including Serenade, Symphony in C, Concerto Borocco, and Valse Fantasie. She also performed works by Modern choreographers Doug Verone, David Parsons, and original choreography by national contemporary artists.
Grossman also performed in over 300 shows as both a ballet and jazz dancer at Radio City Music Hall.
Grossman has been on the dance faculty at Montclair State University since 2006. In addition to teaching ballet, she is currently Co-Director for the two main yearly concerts and serves as Dance Auditions Coordinator for the Montclair State University Dance Department.
Lynne has also taught at New Jersey Ballet School and the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts in Denville. She received the College of Fine Arts Teaching Excellence Award from the University of Texas at Austin in the Department of Theatre and Dance.
Grossman continues to be invited for workshops and summer programs to help prepare and mentor students for the professional world of dance.
