Carol A. Zirrillo

Carol A. Zirrillo, age 67, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, at her residence. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland to the late Edward J. Gwiazda, Sr. and Emily S. (Pamela) Gwiazda, Carol lived in Passaic before moving to Sussex County. She had been employed by the Food Barn in Sussex for many years as well as Weis Market and Wal-Mart. More recently, Carol had been employed by Rite Aid and Walgreens Pharmacy in Asbury Park, where she also maintained a residence. She had a love for reading books and spent much time at the library. The library was her passion. She is survived by her daughter, Dawn McMillin and her husband Kyle of Lake Charles, Louisiana; her brother, Ed Gwiazda and his wife Kathy of Lehigh Acres, Florida; her grandchildren, Emily Catherine and Tanner Michael of Lake Charles, Louisiana; her nephew, Garrett Gwiazda of Queensberry, New York; and her former husband, Richard Zirrillo of Cresco, PA.
Friends may pay their respects to the family on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex.
A memorial mass will be offered at 11:30 a.m. following the visitation at St. Monica R.C. Church, 33 Unionville Avenue, Sussex, New Jersey 07461.
