This November, Garden of Life Massage & Yoga Center in Wantage is celebrating 15 years in business.
The center is hosting an open house celebration on Saturday November 3rd, at their 9 Boulder Hills Blvd., location in Wantage just off Route 23. Attendees can attend free classes throughout the day and tour the facility, meet their staff, and enjoy refreshments and specials.
Dawn Gomez, licensed massage therapist and registered yoga teacher opened the center in 2003 with the intent to create a space where multiple modalities of wellness practices would assist the community in acheiving peace and we'll being. The center has certainly grown over the years to offer that and is highly recognized in the community.
Therapuetic massges are offered to relax the most stressed client to pain relieving treatments to rid clients of sciatica and frozen shoulders to name a few. Clients seeking relief don't need to know names of techniques. The staff will assist you in receiving the best massage for your needs.
Mind body classes including yoga, Qi Gong, and Pilates are scheduled seven days and evenings a week as well as monthly group sound healing sessions and past life regression workshops. No experience is needed. Teachers are skilled in guiding newbies as well as experienced students.
Clients can reduce stress and toxins with infrared sauna sessions which benefit many autoimmune imbalances and overall we'll being. Dawn, herself, has benefitted from the sauna sessions while she underwent treatment for Lyme this summer. "I have always enjoyed the benefits of sauna for my own well-being. It's also great to know first hand its benefits work when it's truly needed."
Floatation therapy is also uniquely available at Garden of Life. Clients float effortlessly in a tank of 800 pounds of Epsom salt soultion filled warm water without external stimulation for an hour. This one hour of rest in the float tank can equal up to 4 hours of R.E.M. sleep and benefit the client's joints, stress levels, and we'll being.
While visiting Garden of Life, clients can also shop for unique and special gifts and wellness items. Over 500 square feet of the center is filled with these treasures selected by Ms. Gomez. "Many of our vendors are the artists themselves, or are collectives offering fair traded gifts. It's a joy to assist clients in finding the perfect gift for their loved ones" states Dawn.
