Frances Hardin. age 91, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at the Homestead Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Frankford Township. Born in Sussex to the late Edward and Beatrice (Hovencamp) Smith, Mrs. Hardin has lived in the Sussex-Wantage area all of her life. She had been employed at Ames Rubber and retired 25 years ago. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sussex, a former member of the Friends of the Old Clove Church and a former member of the Sussex Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. Hardin was predeceased by her husband, Laurens M. Hardin in 1996. She is survived by her sons, Rick Moore of Bethlehem, PA and Keith Moore of Wantage; her daughter, Debra Kelly of South Carolina; his step-sons, Peter Hardin of Madison, Wisconsin, Philip Hardin of Vernon, Jim Hardin of Wantage, and Jon Hardin of Colorado; her sisters, Dolores Schuler of New Mexico and Virginia Naticzak of Upper Black Eddie, PA; eleven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018, at the First Presbyterian Church of Sussex, 21 Unionville Avenue, Sussex. Burial of cremains will immediately follow at Clove Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.pinkelfuneralhome.com.
