Bill Gaechter is clear choice for Wantage

On Nov. 6, Wantage Township faces a choice between proud Republican, Bill Gaechter, and what appears to be not so proud Democrat Susan Weiss.
I do believe that choice is clear. Bill Gaechter has served Wantage Township with pride, with dedication, with perseverance, and with passion for eight years. Along with his phenomenal knowledge of how our government works, Bill has also brought those same qualities from his service on the Wantage Township Committee to the Wantage Land Use Board, also for eight years. Bill has also served on, and openly supports, the Wantage Township Open Space Advisory Board. Bill also supports and realizes the value of our volunteer community.
Bill is not afraid to “stir the pot” with discussions in Open Public Sessions or decisions made whether they be popular or unpopular. Decisions are made strictly with the interests of the Wantage Taxpayer in mind. In the eight years Bill has served, Wantage has seen a flat tax for six of those eight years.
In my own personal Township dealings with Bill, I have always found him to not “jump the gun “or “shoot from the hip” with decisions. He listens when brought information, researches and asks advice when needed. Bill will always do what he believes to be right.
Wantage Township will have serious decisions to make in the near future. Especially in these times nothing matters more than knowledge and experience. There is no one more qualified than Bill Gaechter to be that person involved in making those decisions.
You can’t just come to meetings at election time when you want to run for public office or looking to make political statements. It’s a year round responsibility especially for someone looking to be that person having input into making those decisions that affect all of Wantage Township.
