    Oct. 5Rylee S. Smyth, 26 of Hawley, Pa., was sentenced to four years probation. She must complete a TASC Evaluation, attend weekly AA/NA meetings and pay all fines and fees.
    She pleaded guilty on Aug. 20, 2018, to two counts of Possession of CDS, third degree crimes. Smyth admitted that, while being pulled over, she was passed the heroin and told to hide it.
    Matthew J. Williams, 25 of Blooming Grove, Pa., was sentenced to four years of probation. He must submit a DNA sample, complete a Substance Abuse Evaluation, obtain/maintain full-time employment, attend weekly AA/NA meetings and pay all fines and fees.
    He pleaded guilty on Aug. 20, 2018 to Possession of CDS (Heroin), a third degree crime. Williams admitted that he and his two co-defendants had just purchased the drugs in Paterson prior to getting pulled over.
    Oct. 15Richard McInturff, 27, of Lake Grove, N.Y., pleaded guilgty to two counts of third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 7.
    The defendant admitted he was in possession of Heroin and Alprazolam when New Jersey State Police responded to a suspicious person report.
    Oct. 16Gregory L. Ensel, 36, of Green Township pleaded guilty to aggravated assault on a Law Enforcement Officer and Driving While Suspended for a Second or Subsequent DWI, both crimes of the fourth degree. Sentencing is presently scheduled for Nov. 30, 2018.
    The defendant admitted to assaulting New Jersey State Troopers when they responded to a call concerning the defendant on a trespassing complaint. He also admitted to driving while his license is suspended for a second or subsequent DWI.
    Oct. 22Christopher Candido, 26, of Hopatcong pleaded guilty to theft and fraudulent use of a credit card, both third-degree crimes.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 14.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to taking an individual’s car and to using that individual’s debit card on Aug. 23, 2018.
    The case was investigated by Detective William Sutphen, Patrolman James Still, and Patrolman Anthony Cirri of the Hopatcong Police Department.
    Krystyn Romualdo, 35, of Landing pleaded guilty to one count of hindering, a fourth-degree offense and one count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (heroin), a third-degree offense.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to hindering her own apprehension by providing false information to a law enforcement officer and to being in possession of 20 bags of Heroin on May 26.
    Sentencing is presently anticipated for Dec. 14.
    Jason Hartman, 51, of Stanhope pleaded guilty to theft, a fourth-degree crime.
    Sentencing is presently anticipated for Dec. 14.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to removing items not belonging to him from the Byram Bagel and Deli. The items were valued at less than $500.
    Oct. 23Kevin Dilks, 43, of Hopatcong was sentenced to 12 years in state prison with a five-year period of parole ineligibility, 225 days jail credit, $3,205 in fines and a two-year loss of driver’s license.
    He pleaded guilty on July 31 to the first-degree crime of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.
    He admitted that on March 12, in the borough of Hopatcong, he distributed Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) while he was on Drug Court Probation. The matter was a joint investigation by the Hopatcong Police Department and the Sussex County Guns, Gangs and Narcotics Task Force
    Dilks was represented by Charles O’Connell, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Jerome P. Neidhardt.
    Oct. 24Mary Mania, 33, of Dover pleaded guilty to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a third-degree crime. Sentencing is presently anticipated for Dec. 14.
    On May 6, 2017, the defendant was arrested for an outstanding warrant. In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to being in possession of heroin at that time.
    The case was investigated by Sergeant Kenneth Kuzicki of the Vernon Township Police Department.
    Oct. 26Joseph Zonca. 38 of Wantage, pled guilty to Conspiracy and Burglary, third degree crimes. Sentencing is presently anticipated for Dec. 7, 2018.
    In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to conspiring with another to enter a vacant Wantage home on Jan. 22, 2017.
