    Alice F. Demarest, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, at her residence. Born in Teaneck to the late Bruno and Marie (Dickman) Ferretti, Mrs. Demarest grew up in Bogota before moving to Wantage in 1954. She had worked with her husband, as the photography and editorial assistant of Midhurst Studios in Sussex. She also was in the food service industry and enjoyed her time as a waitress at Dales’s in Hamburg.
    Mrs. Demarest loved to cook and enjoyed gardening. She planted flowers around her house that attracted hummingbirds and butterflies and used her fresh herbs in many of her dishes. Her family was everything to her and she enjoyed all of the time she spent with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
    She is survived by her husband, Wesley W. Demarest, Sr.; her son, Wesley W. Demarest, Jr. and his partner, Kimberly Bail of Sussex; her daughter, Dawn Krause and her husband Timothy of Sussex; her brothers, Bruno Ferretti, Jr. and his wife Diane of Greenville, New York, and Lawrence Ferretti and his partner Kathleen Bade of Columbia; her sisters, Dolores Polyi and her husband Joseph of Sussex and Geraldine France and her husband Charles of Dundee, New York; seven grandchildren, Wesley, III and his wife Amanda, Christopher and his wife Jessica, Axel and his wife Kayla, Shawn and his partner Christine Wagner, Quinn Demarest, Logan Krause, and Thea Krause; and three great grandchildren, Rylan, Mavis, and Kip. In keeping with Alice’s wishes, there will be no viewing or services. She would prefer that everyone remember her for the fine days you shared together.
