VERNON — OSCAR (One Step Closer Animal Rescue) in Andover, New Jersey, recently visited students in the Life Skills classes at Vernon Township High School. After learning about local animal shelters - what they do, where the animals come from, and how many animals are rescued each year, the students held a towel and blanket drive to lend a hand. In addition, Bow Wow Biscuits (homemade biscuits made by the students in the DILS class), were donated to each of the animals in the shelter.
