VERNON — Season Pass Holders and those who purchased a Triple Play Pass gathered to celebrate the 53rd opening of the Mountain Creek Ski Resort on Friday, Dec. 14.
The day was made even more special by top to bottom skiing at Mountain Creek South on newly groomed corduroy trails.
Skiing and riding are among the few sports that families can enjoy together and father Aidan Hague made sure his family including Reilly, Kaelen, and Karlly from Clinton, NJ were present to enjoy the fun of the opening of the 2019 ski season.
The opening of Mountain Creek for the 2019 ski season was officially kicked off by having first track snowboarders Eddie Murray, Justin Lamert, James Neebling and Joe Bellotti from Stone Point, N.Y., Randolph and Millstone crash through an Opening Day Banner held by Mountain Creek’s Adventure Manager, John Matusiewicz. and Cheryl Swift.
The fun enjoyed by all who were present for opening day would not have been possible without the hard work of Mountain Creek staff including the snow blowers, groomers, lift operations, terrain park and food and beverage staff.
During opening day skiers and riders could enjoy the music of a DJ playing music from the deck in front of Kinks and stop by for an adult beverage and some great food provided by the Kinks Food & Beverage staff.
Mountain Creek will be open to visitors for skiing and riding on a daily basis from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the week, with an early opening at 8 a.m. on the weekends for season pass holders. Season passes and Triple Play passes can be purchased at the Resort or online to achieve attractive savings.
