The Vernon Township High School Chamber Orchestra visited the Vernon Township Woman’s Club December meeting for a holiday concert on Dec. 20.

Woman’s Club members and guests enjoyed the string group as they played light-hearted favorites like Jingle Bells, Frosty the Snowman and Jingle Bell Rock. Classic carols like O, Come All Ye Faithful and Silent Night were beautifully offered by the orchestra.

The students representing all grade levels, introduced themselves after the concert, stating their respective string instrument and how long they’ve been playing it.

Woman’s Club officers thanked the orchestra, reminding the senior grade members about the club’s upcoming scholarship in April 2019. The Vernon Woman’s Club scholarship is largely based on community service.
