Woman's Club delivers joy to Birth Haven

The Vernon Township Woman’s Club brought joy and happiness to all the residents of Birth Haven in December.

Club members Debbie Piccirillo (left) and Karen Rothstadt were as busy as elves shopping, wrapping and delivering gifts to the babies, mothers and moms-to-be residing at the agency’s shelter in Newton.

The women received homemade afghans, teddy bears, warm fleece headbands, gloves and hand lotion.

An assortment of items for the new babies and those who will be born soon included pacifiers, receiving blankets and clothing. The Vernon Township Woman’s Club is committed to helping community organizations like Birth Haven which provides shelter, support and education for homeless pregnant women and girls.
