Love Letters to be read at Mayo Center

MORRISTOWN — A. R. Gurney's Love Letters, starring Michael Tucker and Jill Eikenberry, will be performed at Mayo Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $39-$59.
Love Letters is a tender emotional portrait about the powerful connection of love. It is a tragi-comic and nuanced examination of the shared nostalgia, missed opportunities and deep closeness of two lifelong friends.
The show stars real-lie husband and wife Michael Tucker and Jill Eikenberry, best known from their starring roles on the classic TV show L.A. Law, which ran eight seasons.
Jill Eikenberry's stage credits include Moonchildren, All Over Town, Watch on The Rhine, Summer Brave and Onward Victoria. She won Obie Awards for her performances in Life Under Water and Lemon Sky, and received a Drama Desk nomination for The Kid. Film credits include Between The Lines, Butch and Sundance, Arthur, Rich Kids, Hide in Plain Sight, The Manhattan Project and Something Borrowed. She received five Emmy nominations for her work on L.A. Law. Other TV credits include An Inconvenient Woman, Judging Amy, Law and Order and Body of Proof.
Michael Tucker is an actor and a writer last seen on stage in Wallace Shawn's Evening at the Talk House for The New Group. He appeared in The M Spot and Fern Hill, plays of his own devising, at the New Jersey Repertory Company and danced and sang in Enter Laughing at the York Theater. He earned three Emmy Nominations for his work on L.A. Law. Film credits include Diner, Tin Men, Network, The Purple Rose of Cairo, Radio Days and many more. He has written three memoirs, a novel, two plays and a blog about eating and cooking.
A.R. Gurney's works include Scenes from an American Life, Children, The Dining Room, The Middle Ages and many more. His numerous awards include Drama Desk, N.E.A., Rockefeller Foundation, New England Theatre Conference, Lucille Lortel, American Association of Community Theatres, American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters.
