John 'Greg' Meehan

John “Greg” Meehan, age 58, passed away on Friday, Jan. 25, at his residence while surrounded by his loving family. Born in Newark, Greg was raised in the Bloomfield area and moved to Sussex County in 1986.
He was a carpenter by trade and retired from Lane Valente Industries in Bohemia, New York. Greg was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed playing basketball and more recently golfing. When his sons were younger, Greg was very active as a coach for the Sussex-Wantage Little League and Basketball. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Joyce (Cudworth); his two sons, Christopher Meehan and his wife Sara of New Britain, Connecticut and Kyle Meehan of Mountain Lakes; his parents, John G. And Claudette (Yaeger) Meehan of Kinnelon; his brother, Daniel Meehan of Belleville; his sister, Betsy Janoski and her husband Joseph of Kinnelon; and many loving nephews, nieces, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 28, 2019, at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Interment to follow at Beemerville Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
