Alicja Wesloske scored 16 points, leading Vernon to a 39-33 win over Wallkill Valley on Saturday, Jan. 26, in the first round of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament.

Brietta Patterson added eight points and six rebounds for the Vikings (8-6) and Madie DeVries scored four points, grabbed 10 rebounds and made one assist.

Samantha Opilla led Wallkill Valley (6-8) with 10 points. Jamie Struble scored nine points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
