Troop celebrates Scout Sunday

VERNON — Members of Boy Scout Troop 283 celebrated Scout Sunday on February 3, by participating in the 8 a.m. Mass at St. Francis de Sales Church, Vernon.
The young men and their adult leaders received a special blessing from Fr. Christopher Barkhausen, priest-administrator of the parish, in recognition of their contributions to scouting.
The troop meets on Thursday nights at the church.
