    George G. Armstrong, 92 years old, died peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 10, at The Homestead Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Frankford Twp., N.J. Born to George R. and Anna Armstrong in Teaneck, N.J., he had lived in Vernon Twp., NJ before moving to Wantage Twp., NJ in 2004.
    George worked as a construction superintendent for many years before retiring. He was a parishioner of St. Monica’s RC Church, Sussex, N.J., he enjoyed flying fishing, was an avid bird hunter and took great joy in training his Labrador Retrievers for field trials throughout the country. He enjoyed watching sports especially his grandchildren and was a dedicated father, grandfather and most recently became a great grandfather.
    George is predeceased by his wife, Margaret M. (Yockel) Armstrong (2013), 2 sisters, Gloria Grohs and Jeannie Sattley and a brother, Lt. Col. Robert Armstrong. He was a devoted father of George M. Armstrong and his wife, Kathleen of Wantage Twp., N.J., Pamela Myslinski and her husband, Tim of Vernon, N.J., Noelle Myers and her husband, Ron of Great Falls, Va. and Gordon Armstrong and his wife, Pam of Wantage Twp., N.J. Loving grandfather of Nicole Myslinski Goff and her husband Rich, Ashley Myslinski, April Myslinski, Courtney Myers Kerscher and her husband Craig, Zachary Myers and Benjamin and Samuel Armstrong. And great grandfather of Paisley Rose Goff.
    The family would like to thank Compassion Care Hospice of Sparta, NJ for the tremendous help and support provided to them and their father during this time of need.
    The family will receive their friends at Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third Street, Sussex, N.J., on Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 2-5 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Monica’s RC Church, Sussex, NJ at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Clove Cemetery, Wantage Twp., NJ. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 350 Sparta Ave., Bldg B Suite 2, Sparta, NJ 07871.
