Kindergartners, wrestling team work together on Valentine's Day project

Kindergarten and first grade art students from Cedar Mountain Primary School recently collaborated with the Vernon Township High School Wrestling Team to share the love on Valentine’s Day.
Although the plan was for the wrestlers to visit the young children and work together on “Valentines for Veterans”, the modified daily school schedule due to the recent cold snap prevented this from happening.
So instead, the primary school students wrote messages and decorated paper hearts, and the wrestlers used those hearts to create special Valentine’s Day collages which will be delivered to a local veterans’ hospital.
VTHS physical education teacher and wrestling coach Todd Piontkowski and CMPS art teacher Denise Docherty coordinated this project.
