NEWTON — Often times, many people associate the celebration of St. Patrick’s Day with alcohol filled parties, creating a barrier for families or people in recovery to have a fun and safe, sober holiday celebration.
In Sussex County, a team of Recovery Advocacy volunteers meet monthly to organize events that promote and support recovery. We are pleased to announce that The Center’s 5th Annual Sober St. Patrick’s Day Party will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. All are invited to join in this free community event featuring the Lenihan School of Irish Dance, great food and an inspirational speaker in recovery.
Join friends and allies of recovery for this free social event, brought to you by Center for Prevention and Counseling, The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence of New Jersey (NCADD-NJ) and the County of Sussex. People in recovery, their family members and other supporters of a recovery lifestyle meet monthly as Recovery Advocates to plan community events like this.
RSVP, or for more information and/or to attend this and other Recovery Support events in Sussex County contact Katie at The Center at (973) 940-2966 or email katie@centerforprevention.org.
